How do I get my Lynxmotion robot to connect with my computer? I have the new USB version of the SSC-32.
It is a little bit different, in that there is now only one switch, and it will connect every single time, as long as you follow the right steps. The steps are listed below and can be downloaded as a PDF from the link as well. Pay attention to the last step! Even if you are not using bluetooth turn it on.
Does it matter how many teeth or flutes my end mills have?
Actually it does. A good rule of thumb for the beginner: the harder the material, the more teeth! What’s the difference between teeth and flutes? Teeth do the cutting, flutes bring the cut material away from the part. The excerpt from our Tooling ppt is below! If you look at the formula for Feed rate here, you will also see that the number of teeth your tool has determines how fast you can move the tool across the material.
By looking at this equation for calculating
What is the difference between Climb & Conventional cutting?
Milling tools can advance through the material so that the cutting flutes engage the material at maximum thickness and then decreases to zero. This is called Climb Milling.
Cutting in the opposite direction causes the tool to scoop up the material, starting at zero thickness and increasing to maximum. This is called Conventional Milling. The fewer the teeth, the more space between them. This is called chip space.
