I want to make something on my MakerBot that I have modeled in Inventor, but it always comes out too small. I hate doing math; is there an easy way to scale it?
Sure is! Best way I have found is to scale it in Inventor when exporting the STL file. Here’s the process for bringing a solid model out of Inventor and into Makerbot Desktop and making it the right size:
There are a couple of research assignments that I would like my students to do. Do you have any exemplars of what you have used in class?
1.1 History of CIM Powerpoint Examples2.2 CIM Processes Brochure Examplesprocess-brochure-template
We sure do! Note that the exemplars that can be downloaded are older ones, and not all are necessarily considered the best of the best… That way your kids may not want to steal them from here! Included also are examples for History of CIM and Types of Processes.
We change it up, and some years we do on-line presentations, sometimes powerpoints, and sometimes brochures. Templates are included in the downloads! Below is an example of a brochure done by a former student.
I want to use announcements in my LMS, but they are grayed out so that my students can’t get to them. Can I make them visible?
Of course you can. Just know that they will stay grayed out until you add at least one announcement. See the short video below to learn how to make menu items accessible to your students, and how to change the order.
What are “announcements” used for in an LMS? Do you use them? How?
Hold on Cowboy…. that’s three questions in one. I use them in class everyday, with every class. I especially like to be able to give my students content like files, or links that they will need in class that day. See the short video below that explains why and how.
